1 | Hatfield® Classic Ham Steak, cut into 1/4-inch by 1-inch pieces | ||

1 | tablespoon | butter | |

1 | tablespoon | olive oil | |
|
|||
1 | large russet potato, diced | ||
|
|||
1/2 | cup | onion, diced | |
|
|||
1/2 | cup | red pepper, diced | |
|
|||
1/2 | cup | orange pepper, diced | |
|
|||
1/2 | cup | poblano pepper, diced | |
|
Heat butter and oil in a large saute pan over medium high heat, until butter melts and foams.
Add ham and saute until lightly browned, stirring occasionally. Remove from pan.
In the same pan, add potatoes and cook for 10-12 minutes or until cooked through on the inside and slightly crispy on the outside.
Add onions and peppers and cook, stirring occasionally, until onions are translucent and peppers are tender, about 5 minutes.
Return ham to the skillet. Mix well, and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until ham is heated through.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
A Tip from our Chef:
For a simple rib rub, combine equal parts of salt, pepper, brown sugar, and paprika. For extra flavor, add spices like cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, and chili powder to the mix.
