2 | cups | pancake mix, plus additional mix for dipping | |

1/4 | cup | LaBatt Blue Lite Beer | |

1 | tub | (32 ounces) Grillos Pickle Spears | |
|
|||
wooden skewers | |||

|||
vegetable oil for frying | |||
|
|||
Beer Honey Mustard: | |||
1/4 | cup | yellow mustard | |
|
|||
1/4 | cup | Malle Whole Grain Mustard | |
|
|||
1/4 | cup | honey | |
|
|||
1 | tablespoon | LaBatt Blue Lite Beer | |
|
Beer Batter:
Stir together pancake mix and beer until mixture is of pancake batter consistency.
Skewer each pickle through one end pushing skewer about 2/3 through the length of the pickle.
Dip each skewered pickle into dry pancake mix. Coat, then tap to shake off access dry mix.
Dip pickles into the batter and let the excess drip back into the bowl.
Gently place the skewered pickle into frying oil that has been heated to 350 degrees F
Fry until golden brown, roughly 10 minutes. Remove from oil and let cool.
Serve with Beer Honey Mustard for dipping.
Beer Honey Mustard:
Add mustards, honey and beer to a medium bowl and stir until combined. Serve as a dipping sauce with the deep fried pickles.
