1 | cup | whole milk | |

Zest of 1 orange | |||
|
|||
1/4 | cup | orange juice | |
|
|||
1/2 | teaspoon | vanilla extract | |
|
|||
1 | cup | maple syrup | |
|
Whisk together the eggs, milk, orange zest, orange juice and vanilla in a large shallow bowl.
Warm the maple syrup in a saucepan or microwave.
Preheat a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Dip four croissant halves into the egg mixture coating both sides. Let the excess egg mixture drip off croissant before placing in the skillet. Cook until golden brown on both sides, 3 to 4 minutes per side. Remove croissant halves to a plate and keep warm. Repeat process with remaining croissant halves.
Serve immediately with warm syrup.
