1/2 | cup | freshly grated Romano cheese | |

1 | Tablespoon | chopped parsley | |

|||
1/2 | clove | garlic, minced | |

1/2 | teaspoon | salt | |

1/4 | teaspoon | freshly ground black pepper | |

3/4 | cup | fresh bread crumbs | |
|
|||
1/2 | cup | lukewarm water | |
|

8 | slices | creamy Gorgonzola cheese | |

8 | dinner rolls or slider buns, split | ||
|
|||
1/2 | cup | pan-grilled onion slices | |
|
|||
1/2 | cup | prepared marinara sauce, heated | |
|
Combine meatball mixture with egg, Romano cheese, parsley, garlic, salt and pepper in a large mixing bowl. Add bread crumbs and combine.
Slowly add water, mixing until moist. Shape meatball mixture into slider sized patties. Refrigerate patties until ready to cook.
Grill or pan-grill meatball burgers over medium heat on lightly oiled grill. Cook thoroughly, then place 1 slice of cheese atop each burger and cook 1 minute longer to melt cheese.
Toast buns, cut-side down on grill.
Serve each burger with 1/2 tablespoon grilled onions and 1/2 ounce warm marinara sauce.
