Yield: 1 serving
1/4 | cup | apple cider | |
Zest from 1/4 of orange | |||
2 | tablespoons | fresh orange juice
1 | tablespoon | DeLallo Fig Spread
2 | ounces | bourbon | |
1 | teaspoon | DeLallo Balsamic Vinegar
Prosecco for topping (optional)
Sprig of rosemary for serving
Candied Oranges: | |||
Equal parts water and sugar (depending on number of oranges you are using)
1 | orange, thinly sliced
In a pot, bring water and sugar to a boil. Add orange slices and continue to cook until water mixture thickens and thermometer temperature reads 250-266F. Remove oranges and transfer to a plate. Allow to rest until they become hard, about 5-10 minutes.
In a cocktail shaker, combine the apple cider, orange zest, orange juice, fig spread, bourbon and balsamic vinegar. Shake to combine.
Strain into a glass filled with ice. Top with a splash of Prosecco. Serve with a candied orange slice and a sprig of rosemary. Cheers!
