Smart Snack Cookies
There's more than one smart cookie here. You've got enough good ingredients to make 18! Organic oats, whole wheat flour, apple sauce, walnuts, dried cherries, and more.

Ingredients

|
|
|||
| 2/3 | cup | organic brown sugar | |
|
|
|||
| 1 | teaspoon | baking soda | |
|
|
|||
| 1 | teaspoon | organic cinnamon | |
|
|
|||
| 1/2 | teaspoon | salt | |
|
|
|||
| 1/2 | cup | chopped dried cherries | |
|
|
|||
| 1/2 | cup | chopped walnuts | |
|
|
|||
| 1/3 | cup | honey | |
|
|
|||
| 1/4 | cup | applesauce | |
|
|
|||
| 1 | organic large egg | ||
|
|
|||
| 2 | tablespoons | butter, melted | |
|
|
|||
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a baking sheet with canola oil cooking spray.
Combine oats, whole wheat flour, brown sugar, baking soda, cinnamon and salt in a large bowl until well blended. Stir in cherries and walnuts.
Combine honey, applesauce, egg and butter in a small bowl; pour over dry ingredients and mix well.
Scoop 2-tablespoon portions of dough onto prepared baking sheet.
Bake 12 to 14 minutes or until lightly browned.
Cool completely on wire rack and store in an airtight container.
