Spice up grilling season with our Italian, bold-flavored Hot and Spicy Pesto. Serve up these fiery-hot shrimp skewers with a zesty lime aioli and get the party started.
Yield: 4 servings
1 | pound | large shrimp, peeled and deveined (about 40 shrimp) | |

1 | jar | (6.35 ounce) hot and spicy pesto | |
|
|||
2 | cups | mayonnaise | |
|
|||
2 | cloves | garlic, minced | |
|
|||
2 | teaspoons | DeLallo Lime Juice Slice | |
|
|||
3 | tablespoons | fresh chopped basil | |
|
|||
DeLallo Extra Virgin Olive Oil, for greasing grill | |||

Preheat grill or grill pan on medium heat. Brush grates with olive oil to prevent sticking.
Thread shrimp on skewers. Place skewered shrimp on a large serving dish. Brush each skewer with pesto.
To create a spicy aioli for dipping, combine mayonnaise with 3 ounces (about 1/2 jar) or Hot and Spicy Pesto, minced garlic and lime juice in a mixing bowl. Stir to thoroughly combine.
Grill shrimp skewers until opaque and cooked through, about 4 minutes per side. Brush cooked shrimp with remaining pesto. Sprinkle with fresh basil.
Serve skewers with spicy lime aioli.
